Shop Power

Challenge
The owner of a 3,000+ square foot workshop needed reliable off-grid power to run lighting, essential tools, and ventilation fans used to circulate heat from large propane heaters during the winter months. The key challenge was ensuring consistent performance during the most demanding season, winter, when solar production is at its lowest.
Solution
We designed and installed a robust 8,000-watt off-grid solar system built around a LuxPower 6k inverter, paired with four Pytes 100Ah lithium batteries for energy storage. The system was supported by an 8,000-watt solar array, carefully configured to maximize available sunlight and maintain battery health through shorter winter days.
Result
The system has been performing reliably, even through winter conditions. The workshop is now fully functional, with consistent power for lighting, tools, and powering the fans for heating support systems. Battery performance has remained stable, and the system has proven capable of handling daily operational demands without issue.
With winter performance confirmed, the system is expected to exceed requirements through the longer, higher-production days of summer, making this installation a dependable year-round energy solution.
